Juan Cuadrado, the Colombian forward who was signed by Juventus from Atletico Madrid in January, has joined Real Madrid on loan until the end of the season. The move is believed to be worth €25 million.
Cuadrado had been expected to leave Juventus after failing to impress under new coach Massimiliano Allegri and being left out of the squad for the Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain. He scored four goals in 18 games for the club last season, but struggled to make an impact.
The move to Real Madrid will provide Cuadrado with a chance to showcase his talents again, while also giving him the opportunity to earn more money than he would have done at Juventus. The Spanish club paid a reported fee of €25 million for the player,Saudi Pro League Highlights which means that he will receive €20 million in wages and bonuses over the course of the loan period.
The move could also help Juventus by freeing up space in their squad for other players, such as Danilo, who may move on to join another club. It remains to be seen how well Cuadrado performs for Real Madrid, but it is clear that he will be a valuable addition to the team.
